Endorsed by the IWMF, this new patient resource, based on the 2017 version of NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) for Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia used by health professionals, is now available for download.
The National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®), an alliance of 27 leading cancer centers in the United States, publishes the NCCN Guidelines® for Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia based on recommendations from the NCCN Guidelines Panel for WM. Those very technical guidelines were developed for use by oncologists and other medical professionals who treat patients with WM.
The new NCCN Guidelines for Patients®: Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia – a recent addition to NCCN’s extensive series of patients’ guidelines for a variety of cancers – has been endorsed by the IWMF and has been adopted as a supplement to the IWMF’s library of booklets, Treatment Guides and Fact Sheets. WM patients and caregivers are certain to find this new booklet to be a relevant and informative resource that will help people living with WM talk to their physicians about the best treatment options for their disease. The NCCN Guidelines for Patients®: Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia currently is available only in English, and may be downloaded at www.nccn.org/patients/guidelines/waldenstroms/index.html
