To help continue to fulfill the IWMF mission and vision, we are pleased to introduce our new Major Gifts Officer: Brian L. Miller.
Brian joined the IWMF in early April. He has a broad background in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. He graduated from Columbia College, earned an MPP (Public Policy) from the University of California (Berkeley), and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia University. Throughout his career he has specialized in Corporate Finance, Business Strategy, and Operational Analysis, having been a Corporate Treasurer and divisional VP of Finance and Acquisitions for large public companies as well as the CFO of two start-up companies. He also has taught business students at the community college level. Brian has been a Board member and officer of six non-profit organizations, including the Colorado Cancer Research Project, where he led multiple fundraising efforts. Brian and his wife Marcy recently relocated to the Sarasota area from Southwest Virginia. They have two grown sons and a young granddaughter.
Brian will be working closely with Senior Development Officer Dave Benson, and already has proved a fantastic addition to both our traveling development representatives and our Sarasota office, where Brian is based. We’re happy to have Brian on our team, and hope you will join us in welcoming him. You can reach Brian at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling the IWMF Office, 941-927-4963.
