WMUK is delighted to be working in partnership with Lymphoma Action to host a free live webinar for people affected by WM.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) has had a huge impact on our lives in the last few months and could well continue to do so into the future. At WMUK, people with WM have been in touch with a wide range of questions about COVID-19 and WM as well as seeking support for how to cope physically, mentally, and emotionally with lockdown and shielding.

The webinar will provide an opportunity to ask questions about COVID-19 and WM to our panel of UK experts:

  • Dr Shirley D’Sa, WM lead clinician at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and WMUK trustee
  • Helen DeMarco, Consultant Clinical & Health Psychologist in the Haematology Psychology and Counselling Services at University College London Hospitals (UCLH).

To help us ensure that we can answer as many questions as possible during the webinar, it is important that you send us your questions in advance. You can submit two questions during the registration process. It will be possible to ask questions during the live webinar, using the chat function, but we cannot guarantee we will have time to answer them all.

Due to the nature of the webinar please note that we cannot answer any detailed questions about individual medical situations.

The webinar will focus on WM and COVID-19 in the UK, and the answers will be specific to the UK situation and our health care services. We welcome participants from outside the UK but please be aware that not all the content may be relevant.

We hope this webinar will give you facts, information, and tools for living well with WM during COVID-19.
