IWMF announces our inaugural year participating in The Giving Challenge, an annual 24-hour gift matching event organized by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. Beginning noon Tuesday, September 20th, gifts to IWMF up to $100 placed online through The Giving Challenge website will be matched 2:1, effectively tripling the amount we receive. For example, if you donate $100, the IWMF will receive $100 from you and $200 on top of that from the Challenge sponsors, for a total of $300, multiplying your generosity by 3.
There is no limit to the number of gifts that can be significantly increased this way, and monetary prizes will be awarded to organizations with the largest number of unique donors, most dollars raised, and the first to receive 50 gifts – so the more participants, the merrier!
- Gifts must be made on-line using a major credit or debit card.
- The minimum gift is $25, and maximum matched gift is $100.
- You and other members of your household can all participate. However, each donor must use a different credit or debit card in order to receive a 2:1 match on their donation, as the match is for unique donors only.
- Your gift to IWMF must be made through The Giving Partner Giving Challenge website to be eligible for a match. Once we have received our unique link, we will distribute it via email and publish to iwmf.com – so please stay tuned if you’re interested in participating!
This page will be updated with new information closer to the event. We will also share updates, including the donation link, via email and social media.
