(Save the Date Sunday October 23 at 1PM)
The Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemai (WM) Support Group fall meeting will be on Sunday afternoon, October 23rd from 1-4 pm. Join us at Dana Farber in the Yawkey Center located at 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston MA. We'll meet in the sixteenth floor conference room #1120 in the Dana Building. Parking is free, exit the parking elevator on the first floor and cross the Jimmy Fund Way to the Dana Building. Take the Dana elevator to the 16th floor, rm 1620.
Jack Whelan, our retiring support group leader, has asked me to step up and lead the group, and I'm happy to do that with Jack's help and that of Chris Patterson from the Bing Center at DF. I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones at our first meeting of the year.
We are lucky to be able to get an update from Dr. Zach Hunter who is based at Dana Farber. He is always a welcome guest and has a wonderful way of explaining things in ways that are easy to understand. His topic will be “Updates on the Genomic research in Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia”. We will also have plenty of time for chatting and sharing with one another.
This is an chance for you to meet other folks who are dealing with this rare blood cancer. We’re particularly interesting in welcoming recently diagnosed patients and caregivers. So much to learn, so much hope and progress.
If possible, would you kindly respond to Chris or me to let either of us know you can join us so we can estimate a headcount and plan for snacks. Please pass this message to anyone you feel would be interested especially anyone recently diagnosed or exploring treatment.
We look forward to seeing you in October!
