There’s also the opportunity for you to lend a helping hand to those in the IWMF who are busy working on their fundraising events and making it easy for folks to give to the IWMF. Many members of the Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia (WM) family have expressed an interest in developing and promoting fundraising events to help us find the cause and cure for WM. We have a range of opportunities available as we plan for the future. In fact we need help with the following categories:

• Membership Services Fund
• Research Fund
• Estate Planning
• Foundation and Corporate Grants
• Fundraising Events

The fundraising skills we need in each of the categories above include the following:

• Finding donors
• Contacting donors by phone
• Contacting donors in person
• Writing letters and/or proposals
• Internet and e-mail marketing
• Marketing fundraising activities
• Making fundraising presentations
• Analyzing fundraising trends and data
• Leading, organizing, planning and/or administering fundraising activities
• General support
